Egyptian sources revealed to Al-Araby TV details of the discussions expected to take place on Sunday in Cairo, regarding the implementation of the first phase of the U.S. plan to end the war on the Gaza Strip.

The talks come after Hamas announced late Friday–Saturday its agreement to release all Israeli captives—both the living and the remains of the dead—according to the exchange formula outlined in U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war on Gaza.

According to Egyptian sources, Sunday’s Cairo negotiations will include the participation of U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, the Israeli negotiation team leader Ron Dermer, and the head of the Shin Bet (Shabak), along with a high-level security delegation.

The meeting will focus on setting the operational and field arrangements necessary to implement the first phase of the plan.
