Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged that “Israel” will not begin implementing any clause of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for a ceasefire in Gaza until all Israeli hostages held by Palestinian resistance factions in the Strip are released.

Netanyahu said: “We will not move to any of the 21 clauses of the plan before completing the first clause, which concerns the release of all abductees — both the living and the dead.”

Regarding the administration of Gaza after the war, he said: “The Palestinian Authority will not control Gaza the day after. Neither Hamas representatives nor those of the Authority will be involved. The State of Israel will be responsible and take part in the disarmament of the Strip,” stressing that the occupation will resume “fighting” if Hamas fails to comply with the timelines set by President Trump.
