The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the number of buildings damaged as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip from October 7, 2023, to July 8, 2025, has reached about 190,115 buildings, including 102,067 completely destroyed buildings — double the number recorded in the first year of the assault.

In a statement issued on the occasion of World Habitat Day, the Bureau explained that the number of moderately damaged buildings during the same period was around 41,895, while the number of damaged housing units from October 7, 2023, to September 27, 2025, reached about 330,500 units.

The number of displaced persons is estimated at more than two million as of July 11, 2025, with entire neighborhoods and cities destroyed — including refugee camps and residential towers.

Preliminary assessments indicate that over 85% of water and sanitation facilities and assets in the Gaza Strip have been rendered completely or partially out of service due to the Israeli assault, with an estimated rehabilitation cost exceeding $1.5 billion USD.
