A Hamas delegation, led by Khalil al-Hayya, held preparatory meetings in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, with officials from Egypt’s General Intelligence Service as part of ongoing preparations to discuss the anticipated agreement regarding Gaza.

Sources told Alaraby TV that the Hamas delegation expressed concerns over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s potential noncompliance with U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza. The movement emphasized the need for clear guarantees and effective monitoring mechanisms to ensure the full and timely implementation of the agreement without any omissions or delays.

The sources confirmed that the meetings with the Egyptian side are a prelude to broader negotiations expected to take place soon, with the participation of technical delegations from all relevant parties, aiming to finalize the agreement’s terms and define its practical and humanitarian implementation mechanisms in the Gaza Strip.
