Violent clashes broke out between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinian youths in Qalandiya refugee camp and the town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, on the second anniversary of the war on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7.
Eyewitnesses said that intense confrontations erupted inside Qalandiya camp, where the occupation forces fired a barrage of tear gas and stun grenades toward residents, youths, and commercial shops. Large numbers of occupation forces were deployed in the camp’s alleys and streets, closed its main entrance, and raided homes, ransacking and destroying their contents while detaining family members in one room.
The witnesses added that the forces detained and arrested several young men and assaulted a number of others.
