Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal said that there are more than 10,000 martyrs under the rubble, and it is difficult for Civil Defense crews to search for them due to the lack of equipment. He emphasized the need for heavy equipment to carry out the tasks of recovering the martyrs and removing the rubble.
He confirmed that Civil Defense crews have recovered more than 150 martyrs from across the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire, adding that Palestinians in the Strip need relief, reconstruction, and rebuilding of the infrastructure and health system.
Over the two years of war, more than 140 Civil Defense workers have been killed as a result of Israeli attacks.
