Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières – MSF) announced that the health situation in the Gaza Strip is extremely critical, stressing that the ceasefire has not been accompanied by the reopening of crossings or the entry of aid.

In its statement, the organization said it has not observed any improvement in its ability to deliver humanitarian assistance, noting that it still faces the same obstacles, and emphasizing the urgent need for medical aid to reach Gaza before any talk of rebuilding hospitals can begin.

MSF further stated that Gaza’s health sector is facing the largest structural and humanitarian disaster in modern history, pointing out that there are 70 million tons of rubble and approximately 20,000 unexploded ordnances scattered across the Strip.
