The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced the martyrdom of prisoner Mahmoud Abdullah (49 years old) from Jenin refugee camp, at the Israeli Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
According to the Prisoners’ Club, the occupation forces arrested Mahmoud Abdullah on February 1st of this year, after which his health condition deteriorated severely. It was later revealed that he was suffering from advanced-stage cancer. Despite his critical condition, the occupation refused to release him and kept him in detention until he was martyred one day after being transferred to Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
The club noted that with the martyrdom of detainee Mahmoud Abdullah, the number of martyrs among prisoners and detainees since the start of the genocide war has risen to 79, a figure that includes only those whose identities have been confirmed, amid the ongoing crime of enforced disappearance affecting dozens of other detainees.
