During the current olive harvest season, 158 attacks have been recorded, carried out by the Israeli army and settlers against Palestinian farmers across various areas of the occupied West Bank.
These include 17 assaults by the Israeli army and 141 by settlers, ranging from physical attacks, arrests, movement restrictions, denial of access, and live fire. The highest number of incidents was recorded in Nablus governorate, with 56 cases.
The season also witnessed 57 instances of harassment and movement restrictions targeting olive pickers, and 22 cases of beatings and direct assaults on farmers.
This olive harvest season is considered one of the harshest in recent decades, due to increasing violence, expansion of closed military zones, and greater protection and impunity granted to settlers.
