The Ministry of Education and Higher Education reported that 20,058 students have been killed and 31,139 injured since the beginning of the Israeli assault on Gaza and the West Bank on October 7, 2023.

It added that 1,037 teachers and administrative staff have been martyred and 4,740 wounded, while over 228 have been arrested in the West Bank.

The ministry stated that 179 government schools have been completely destroyed in Gaza, along with 63 university buildings. Additionally, 118 government schools and over 100 UNRWA schools have been bombed or severely damaged.

Most alarmingly, the occupation's aggression has led to the complete removal of 30 schools—including their students and teachers—from the educational registry, effectively erasing them from the education system.
