The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that preliminary statistics regarding the genocide indicate that more than 270,000 people were killed, injured, or detained — nearly 12% of the total population.
It noted that over the course of two years, the Israeli occupation army killed around 75,190 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, 90% of whom were civilians. It added that 50% of the total martyrs were children and women, including 21,310 children (30%) and 13,987 women (20%).
The report highlighted that 40,000 people were left with permanent or long-term disabilities, among them approximately 21,000 children.
It also mentioned that 482 Palestinians died due to malnutrition, including 160 children, and that all residents of the Strip continue to face extremely high levels of food insecurity.
