The elderly prisoner Muhammad Ghawadra, 63, was martyred inside Israeli prisons, due to ongoing torture.
Ghawadra's family stated that he suffered from medical neglect, deprivation of treatment; despite his suffering from several chronic diseases and the daily torture he confronted, which led to his death. His martydrom coincides with the approval of an Israeli law that allows for the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
The deceased prisoner, Muhammad Ghawadra, was arrested in August 2014. He is the father of a recently released prisoner who was deported abroad, and another who remains imprisoned by the Israeli occupation.
The Prisoners' Media Office reports that Ghawadra's body is still being held by the Israeli occupation. He is one of 78 prisoners whose bodies are being held out of the 81 who have died in Israeli prisons since the genocidal war on Gaza.
