The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced they found the body of a slain Israeli soldier east of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, during ongoing search and excavation operations inside the "Yellow Line." They indicated that arrangements are underway to hand the body over to the Israeli authorities.
Al-Qassam confirmed in a statement that the deployment of engineering equipment and the accompaniment of Red Cross teams by Al-Qassam Brigades personnel during the search operations inside the Yellow Line significantly contributed to the rapid recovery of bodies and led to the finding of numerous remains.
