Palestinian prisoner organizations announced that the number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons has reached more than 9,250 as of November, the majority of whom are being held under administrative detention or as detainees without trial, excluding those held in military camps run by the Israeli army.

According to the organizations, the number of sentenced prisoners stands at 1,242, while there are 49 female prisoners, including one from the Gaza Strip.

They added that there are around 350 child prisoners, held mainly in Ofer and Megiddo prisons. Meanwhile, the number of administrative detainees has risen to 3,368.

The report also noted that 1,205 detainees are classified as “unlawful combatants,” a category that does not include all Gaza detainees currently held in Israeli military camps, and also includes Arab detainees from Lebanon and Syria.
