The spokesperson for the Forensic Evidence Department in Gaza, Mahmoud Ashour, stated that a number of the martyrs’ bodies handed over by the Israeli occupation to the Ministry of Health in Gaza showed signs of surgical operations and stitching marks extending from the chest to the abdomen.

He added that “these indicators have raised many doubts and questions about the reasons behind performing such procedures on the bodies,” confirming that the remains clearly demonstrate that the occupation has committed violations of human rights.

Among the bodies examined, one martyr’s body was fused — with the head and abdomen attached to the back — while another had the right and left sides of the head fused together, and the rib cage attached to the back, indicating that a vehicle or heavy machinery had run over the body.

Since October 10, the occupation has delivered batches of 285 martyrs’ bodies as part of the exchange deal with the resistance — all of which bore signs of severe torture, burning, and crushing.
