The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, handed over the body of Israeli officer Hadar Goldin to the International Committee of the Red Cross, 11 years after his capture during the Rafah battles in the 2014 war on the Gaza Strip.
According to the spokesperson for the Israeli army, Red Cross teams received the body of the captured officer Goldin. A senior source in Al-Qassam stated that the brigades managed to recover the bodies of six martyrs from the same location where Goldin’s body was retrieved.
Only five bodies of captured Israeli soldiers remain in the Gaza Strip, as Al-Qassam Brigades continue their search efforts despite Israeli obstacles.
