The Civil Defense in Rafah warned of the severe risks facing tens of thousands of displaced people as weather changes and storm fronts approach, while they remain in dilapidated tents and destroyed homes in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, the outskirts of Rafah, and along the coastline.
The Civil Defense confirmed that these displaced people lack the most basic protection against cold and rain, signaling an imminent humanitarian disaster if urgent measures are not taken. It called on relevant authorities, emergency teams, and humanitarian organizations to intensify their interventions and expand relief efforts, despite limited resources, to protect the displaced and provide their essential needs before the situation worsens with the severe weather conditions.
