The Gaza Governorates Electricity Distribution Company announced that its team is carrying out field works in the central region as part of preliminary technical preparations. These works do not indicate the actual restoration of electricity, due to the lack of essential materials and equipment.

The company stated that these measures are intended to save time in anticipation of the possibility of operating the power plant and receiving electricity once the appropriate conditions are met. It emphasized that these works are not related to the Israeli lines, which are still unavailable for distribution.

The Electricity Distribution Company renewed its call to international bodies and human rights organizations to intervene urgently and exert pressure to allow the entry of necessary materials and equipment, so that electricity service can be restored to citizens as soon as possible.
