The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that half of Gaza’s health facilities are partially functioning amid a severe shortage of medicines and equipment.
In a statement, the WHO warned of an impending humanitarian collapse in Gaza due to the destruction of infrastructure and the deterioration of food security, noting that acute malnutrition threatens children and pregnant women in the Strip.
The Gaza Strip is witnessing a worsening decline in the health sector as a result of fuel shortages and the occupation’s prevention of the entry of medical supplies, which has led to the suspension of thousands of surgical operations and power outages in a number of hospitals.
