Electricity has been cut off at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat Camp, central Gaza Strip, due to the depletion of fuel needed to operate the generators.

Medical sources at the hospital reported that the generators completely stopped functioning after the last available fuel was consumed, and no new fuel was available due to the Israeli blockade preventing the entry of the fuel quantities stipulated under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. This caused a power outage in all hospital departments, except for services relying on limited backup batteries, at a time when patient needs and critical cases are increasing.

The hospital administration confirmed that the ongoing power outage endangers patients’ lives, particularly in the intensive care, pediatric, and surgical departments, calling on international organizations and humanitarian bodies to intervene immediately and pressure the occupation to allow the necessary fuel for operating the generators.
