The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the death of its military spokesperson “Abu Obeida,” along with its Chief of Staff Mohammed Sinwar and three other commanders.

The announcement was made in a speech by the Brigades’ new spokesperson, who also adopted the nom de guerre “Abu Obeida.” He stated that five al-Qassam leaders had been killed, including Chief of Staff Mohammed Sinwar, Rafah Brigade commander Mohammed Shabana, and weapons department commander Hakam Issa.

He said: “We announce the death of the senior commander Hudhayfah Samir Abdullah al-Kahlout, known as Abu Ibrahim, who departed after two decades… Al-Kahlout has passed away, and his title, Abu Obeida, has been inherited.”
