The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that 50,000 worshippers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the absentee funeral prayer for the souls of the martyrs of the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

Israeli occupation forces imposed restrictions on worshippers’ access to the المسجد by installing iron barriers across the city’s streets and around the Old City and the mosque compound.

Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Khaled Abu Jumaa said: “Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain vibrant with Islam and Muslims, belonging solely to us. Our successive generations will continue to patiently stand firm in their mosque until God inherits the land and all upon it.”
