The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club stated that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees who have died in Israeli occupation prisons since 1967 has reached 323 martyrs.
In a statement issued on the occasion of Palestinian Martyrs’ Day, the Club added that this figure includes only those whose identities have been officially announced and whose deaths could be documented by relevant institutions over the past decades, in light of the policy of concealment and lack of transparency pursued by the occupation.
The statement noted that more than 100 prisoners and detainees have died since the start of the Israeli genocide, with the identities of 86 of them announced so far, including 50 detainees from the Gaza Strip. It also pointed out that the occupation is currently holding the bodies of 94 prisoners, among them 83 who died after the genocide.
