The spokesperson for Hamas, Hazem Qassem, said that government bodies in the Gaza Strip have begun taking logistical and administrative measures to facilitate the work of the National Committee and hand over responsibilities to it.

Qassem added that Hamas is not setting any prior conditions to ensure the formation of the committee or the start of its work, but expects independent, professional, and technical performance.

He also noted that the movement is working with mediators to pressure the occupation to allow the committee to operate on the ground inside the Strip, as it is facing complex and sensitive issues that require a high level of professionalism and competence to manage.
